Overview

This article covers driver pickup procedures for certain OneRail clients that use a Will Call pickup location.

Follow these steps from accepting the route through completing the delivery.

Accept the Route and Arrive at Pickup

1. 1 Accept the route in the ORD App and slide the swipe control to Start.
2. 2 Proceed to the pickup location and park in the Will Call area — look for signage marking it.
3. 3 Once you arrive, swipe the control right along the bottom toward Arrived.

Check In at the Will Call Desk

Once you've arrived at Will Call, enter the office and notify the front desk of a OneRail pickup.

In some cases there may be signage instructing you to call Will Call from the parking lot instead.

Receive and Sign for the Load

When you receive the load, sign the manifest. Be sure to leave with the invoices attached — you'll need these invoices to be signed by customers at delivery.

Pay close attention to any special delivery notes included in the manifest, such as specific unloading instructions for a stop.

Confirm and Load the Vehicle

Confirm all cartons are present at staging according to the manifest, then proceed to load your vehicle.

Note: Validate the cases from the manifest prior to leaving the Will Call building.

Take Required Pickup Photos

Once the vehicle is loaded, take photos on the Driver App of the current reefer temperature and all items in the route. Tap the + sign and take the following photos:

1. 1 Reefer temperature.
2. 2 All products together. Repeat the picture for each order.
3. 3 Sticker labels on the product. They are labeled per stop according to sequence.

Complete the Pickup and Proceed to Your First Stop

Mark your pickup complete on the Driver App by swiping the control right along the bottom toward Complete, then proceed to your first delivery stop.

Upload the following PODs (proof of delivery):

1. 1 Product delivered in location.
2. 2 Current temperature prior to unloading of the reefer.
3. 3 Client-signed invoice.

Complete the Route

Once all stops have been completed, mark your route complete on the ORD App by swiping the control right along the bottom toward Complete.
